Bournemouth forward Tokelo Rantie is being tracked by Leeds United, according to one of his former coaches. The 25-year-old is keen to find a new club in this transfer window after finding his chances limited with the Premier League side.
Speaking to Times Live, Farouk Khan confirmed his former player was currently training on his own in South Africa after refusing to join up with Bournemouth on their pre-season tour.
Khan revealed there are some clubs in Europe which are taking an interest in the South Africa international, with Leeds United being one of those.
“At the moment he is in South Africa working in the gym‚ but that is not really good enough to stay in peak condition. There are some very decent clubs in Europe who are interested in signing him‚ Leeds United being just one of them,” said Khan on Rantie.
Ranite signed for Bournemouth in 2013 from Swedish side Malmo in 2013, but he just made one league appearance last season. The forward made his name in Sweden, and was part of the Malmo team, which just missed out on the group stages of the Europa League.
Rantie also had a spell with fellow Swedish side IFK Hässleholm.
