Inter Milan are considering making a swoop to sign Odsonne Edouard from Celtic, but are aware there’s going to be serious competition for the player, report Calciomercato.

Antonio Conte left the Serie A club shortly after winning the title with them, with Italian reports stating the manager was frustrated with the club’s summer plans. Rather than investing further, which is what Conte wanted, Inter instead want to do some account balancing this summer, which could lead to exits.

Therefore, incoming manager Simone Inzaghi will need to have replacements ready, and that’s where the Celtic player comes in. It’s thought signing Edouard could be a relatively low priced move in the coming window, and that, along with his goalscoring record for Celtic, is what makes him a real candidate.

Inter Milan are aware of serious interest from Leicester City in the Celtic player, and therefore know they can’t leave things too long. The Foxes are said to be preparing an offer, which pushes everything forward.

AC Milan also have an interest, but they haven’t started any negotiations with Celtic.
