Inter Milan must ‘watch out’ for Manchester United in their efforts to sign Lucas Bergvall, according to InterLive.it.
The 17-year-old has been part of Swedish side Djurgårdens IF’s first team since he joined them at the start of this year.
Operating mainly in the middle of the pitch and at times as a defensive midfielder, he has three goals and an assist to his name from 29 games.
Back in April, Djurgårdens press officer Olle Arnell confirmed that a Manchester United scout had come to watch the youngster live in action. The Red Devils continue to have him on their agenda, if InterLive.it’s latest report is to be believed.
Inter really like the midfielder, who is on the radar of several European clubs. The website states the young star’s fine displays have also helped him increase his valuation to €4m.
The Serie A side are closely following the Sweden U21 international, while it’s also claimed the ‘pressure looms from Manchester United’, who are looking to bring in quality young talents into their club.
InterLive.it explain that Manchester United could ‘count on’ on their financial strength and the ‘attractive push’ of Erik ten Hag to convince Bergvall to pick them over other clubs. Whether that would be enough to win the transfer race needs to be seen.
