Several Premier League clubs have been linked with Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele over the past month or so, but it’s Tottenham who appear in articles the most and whose interest seems the most concrete at this stage.
At the weekend, Le Progres reported PSG, Juventus, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City, AS Roma, and Arsenal are all interested to varying levels.
This week’s edition of France Football has a different take, naming Chelsea and Tottenham.
But it’s Spurs who are presented as the likelier destination, with the French magazine stating the player is ‘considered by Chelsea, but especially Tottenham’. Mauricio Pochettino’s club are said to have been interested in the midfielder for some time but everything is ‘blocked’ until after the World Cup.
Once the tournament in Russia has ended, English clubs are expected to go on the transfer ‘attack’.
Tottenham will see the situation more clearly when they find out what’s happening with Mousa Dembele. Interestingly, the same edition of France Football says similar for Spurs and Adrien Rabiot.
Chelsea want to wait and see what happens with N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko, and presumably their managerial situation.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is notoriously difficult to deal with, but France Football reckon an English club arriving with a ‘huge offer’ could find success.
