Feyenoord’s Dávid Hancko has several admirers, ‘especially Newcastle United’, according to Calciomercato.it journalist Marco Giordano.

He says Napoli have the centre-back in their target list to replace Kim Min-jae, who’s set to move elsewhere in the summer window. The Serie A winners have only gathered information about the 25-year-old, who joined Feyenoord a year ago.

Calciomercato.it have provided additional updates on this case, including Newcastle’s interest in the defender.

It’s stated the Magpies are looking to bring in a new centre-back in this window and ‘like’ the Slovakia international. Apart from them, a few other clubs also like him. The report adds ‘interest exists’ from Newcastle and other clubs.

Hancko’s agent also represents Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka. The Italian champions have a good relationship with the agent and it may give them an advantage if they decide to try and secure his services. For now, Hancko isn’t the main target for the Naples club.

The report states Feyenoord are asking for €30m and won’t drop the price below €25m to sanction the player’s sale in this window.

Last week, Foot Mercato reported Eddie Howe’s side had made first contact to sign the Slovakian.
