Manchester United sacked Erik ten Hag back in October last year.
The Dutchman has been without a job since then, despite being linked with clubs in Germany and Italy.
Yesterday, there was a bit of a buzz in the Italian press because Ten Hag was spotted in Rome.
While there were no confirmations about whether the trip was related to him taking the AS Roma hot seat next season, he was seen arriving at the Stadio Olimpico to watch the Giallorossi take on Juventus.
Calciomercato.it had initially leaked that video and they have issued an update about the future of the ex-Manchester United manager.
The outlet claim that the trip to the Olimpico was unrelated to Roma’s upcoming managerial vacancy.
The entourage of the 55-year-old has denied any sort of contact between Ten Hag and the Italian giants.
He also declined to answer any questions from journalists during and after the game and those around him were asked to lower their cameras.
There was a very clear attempt to be discreet and no one really knows why.
Borussia Dortmund were also linked with Ten Hag three months ago and for now, it seems as if his future after Manchester United is still up in the air.
