Once linked with a move to Tottenham and the subject of an offer from Norwich, it seems Utrecht’s Sébastien Haller could still be on his way to the Premier League this summer.
The French striker, who scored 24 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch club, has attracted a lot of interest over the past 12 months, and the list of potential suitors seems to grow longer by the day.
According to Voetbal International in Holland, Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Southampton and Ronald Koeman’s Everton are all keeping an eye on the 22-year-old, but no bid has been made.
It is also reported that some Chinese teams were in the market for his services, but the player didn’t fancy moving so far away.
Utrecht are said to value him at around €8m, but it might take a bit more than that to get them to part with their topscorer from last season.
Haller himself would prefer a move to England, and Voetbal International seem to think a move this summer is likely.
Then again, Utrecht wouldn’t be against him staying an extra year.
With over a goal every two games, you can’t really blame them, either.
