Burnley are among the clubs chasing Lazio’s Loum Tchaouna on deadline of the winter market, according to L’Equipe.

Last summer, the winger arrived at the Italian club from Salernitana and signed a contract until 2029.

Tchaouna has clocked in just over 1,000 minutes from 24 games in all competitions this season, managing two goals and an assist in the process. This includes 423 minutes from 15 league games.

Burnley and other clubs can offer the player an escape route before the window closes later today.

The Championship club, along with Feyenoord and Bologna, have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign the Frenchman, but he prefers a move to PSV Eindhoven.

Over in Italy, Lazio Press report the France U21 international’s sale would help the Serie A club to bring in a replacement late in this window.

Tchaouna’s entourage have confirmed to the outlet that Burnley are showing interest.

“Bologna, Feyenoord, Burnley and Stuttgart. We are waiting, we hope to stay, but the coach wants another player…” they told Lazio Press.

His entourage also states the Burnley target favours PSV and has reached an agreement over personal terms. It’s now down to them to come to an agreement with Lazio. There are no comments from them about the Eindhoven club.

The Clarets have to step up quickly and convince Tchaouna and Lazio, if they want to sign him in the next few hours.
