On January 15th, Manchester United let Hannibal Mejbri join Sevilla on a loan deal.
The midfielder couldn’t get regular opportunities and made the switch to Spain, with the hope of enjoying more game time. That hasn’t happened yet as he’s clocked in 38 minutes from two games.
Taking his qualities into account, ABC Sevilla say the Manchester United owned player was the most exciting signing of the winter market.
However, his current situation has ‘baffled’ the 21-year-old’s entourage, who were hoping he would have a better start.
Sevilla manager Quique Sánchez Flores had cited a “lack of adaptation” for the Tunisia international’s slow start.
It’s claimed the Manchester United man has ‘become an element of tension’ between the Andalusian club’s sporting management and Flores.
ABC Sevilla explain that the weekend fixture gives Sevilla a ‘perfect opportunity to dispel the controversy’ around the Tunisian’s situation.
Therefore, Flores betting on the player would be a big step for Sevilla, also because they need a creative profile against Atlético.
