Patrick Erras ‘arouses interest’ from Leeds United, Brentford and Queens Park Rangers, according to Fussball Transfers.

The 25-year-old came up through the ranks of 1. FC Nürnberg’s youth system before being promoted to their first team in 2015.

His contract with the second division German club runs down after this season.

‘England calling’, claims the report, as that could be the defensive midfielder’s next destination. There’s belief he could even take the path to the Premier League.

That would be possible if he joins Leeds and the Whites are promoted to the top flight club competition in England. It’s claimed the opportunity to train under the orders of Marcelo Bielsa could be ‘tempting’ for the German.

Brentford are fourth in the table and the Bees are also in contention to be promoted to the Premier League next season. That may not be the case for QPR, who are 13th in the table.

Fussball Transfers also state there are clubs in Germany that are interested in Erras and he will only consider this option if a move to England doesn’t materialise.

Although the report doesn’t mention who among Leeds, the Bees and QPR are leading the race, they do state the option to join Leeds could be tempting because of Bielsa.

Erras primarily operates as a defensive midfielder, but has also been used as a centre-back this season. He has made 18 appearances and has two goals to his name.
