On Thursday, Chelsea winger Nathan was officially presented by Portuguese side Belenenses, where he will play on a loan until the end of the season.
On Friday morning, the local press covered the presentation as ‘the end of a soap opera’, since the deal for the Brazilian had been reached a while ago.
As reported by O Jogo, the player arrived in Lisbon on the 9th of January, but he and the club had to stay waiting due to the lack of documents for the move to be made official.
Now with all the bureaucracies sorted, the player has finally signed and is already available to make his debut in the Portuguese league.
Bought from Brazilian side Atletico Paranaense in 2015 on a €4m deal, Nathan is still to have a chance to play for the Stamford Bridge club.
The player has had loan spells at Dutch side Vitesse and French side Amiens, and now goes to his third club.
His deal with Chelsea runs until 2020.
