Emre Can made his official debut for Juventus at the weekend, coming on as a substitute during the Serie A game against Chievo Verona.

And even though the former Liverpool midfielder only played for a few minutes, the local press brings a big story about this ‘new player’ he’s becoming in Italy.

It’s newspaper Tuttosport who writes about the ‘beast effect’ after the physical work he’s been doing to get fit to play. They say that the muscular player that Juve signed is now lighter, and has proved this in Saturday’s match.

Can is higlighted for completing 100% of his passes during the game, even though he only stayed on for eight minutes. A header attempt from him is also much praised by the newspaper.

Even though Can seems to be temporarily healed from his back problems, it’s obvious that Tuttosport exaggerate a bit when speaking of all this transformation that the player’s body would be having.

But for a player who spent only six minutes on the pitch, they had to have something to write about.

The move from Liverpool was talked up for many months before it happened, and Tuttosport continue to hype everything around Can.
