Spain’s El Confidencial have a piece on Wednesday explaining some possible exits from Real Madrid’s squad this summer. Chief among them is James Rodriguez, but it’s not Manchester United linked to the Colombian international this time.
El Confidencial say Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG are all interested in doing a deal for the player, with the French club having already contacted James’ agent Jorge Mendes.
Next up for the exit door is Alvaro Morata, who hasn’t even arrived yet. Real Madrid have officially exercised their right to buy the Spaniard back from Juventus, but he’s still on holiday after his country’s Euro 2016 exit.
When he returns it may not be for long, and El Confidencial explain Jose Mourinho and Manchester United are one of the major stakeholders in a possible transfer. No other clubs are mentioned in the article.
Surprisingly, it’s stated that Raphael Varane could also be heading to England, with a ‘change of scenery’ said to be suitable for all involved. No clubs are mentioned, but Mourinho is a big fan of the French defender and may well be interested.
Varane has been somewhat held back by injuries and Manchester United would be mindful of that being a future problem.
