A week ago, Parma’s interest in Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanović emerged and it became clear that London club were pushing to earn a major fee from the player’s sale.
Since then the Italian media stance has been that talks are ongoing between the two clubs, with Parma not quite taking the step up in financial level which would satisfy Millwall.
Parma sold Ange-Yoan Bonny to Inter Milan and they are hunting for replacements for the Frenchman, which is being their interest in the first place.
Gazzetta di Parma, as relayed by ForzaParma, bring some hope for Millwall hopes of keeping Ivanović. The report states Millwall want €16m for the Serbian and Parma consider this valuation is too high for the 20-year-old.
Due to Millwall’s demands, the Serie A side are now strongly considering alternatives. AC Milan’s Lorenzo Colombo is emerging as a key option, having proven himself in the Italian top-flight already.
Parma’s efforts for Ivanović appear to be drifting away as they have no intention of paying what Millwall want.
