Goal Brasil report Raphinha’s ‘staff’ and Barcelona are trying to make Chelsea ‘angry’, so that the Blues give up on signing the Leeds United player.
It’s explained the London club have been pushing for a quick answer from the player, having made an offer to the Whites, but he’s still holding out for a move to Barcelona.
Raphinha’s childhood dream was to play for the Catalan club, according to Mundo Deportivo. With an opportunity presented to the ex-Rennes man, he is ‘not willing to let it go’.
The player’s agent, Deco, was in Barcelona last week to sort out a move for the 25-year-old. He continues to enjoy his vacation in Ibiza, and Mundo now state the representative has joined his client there, after pushing Leeds to accept the La Liga side’s proposal.
It’s claimed Barca have made an offer of €50m plus €10m in potential bonuses.
This is lower than the €75m offered by Chelsea and the money other English clubs were willing to pay, however, Barcelona have the player’s ‘will’ to join them.
Raphinha is keen to join Xavi Hernández’s side and they have already made an offer to the English club. Therefore, the wideman and his agent are ‘pressing for Leeds to accept’ Barcelona’s offer’.
Chelsea walking away from the deal would presumably help in that regard.
