Trabzon based newspaper Karadeniz Gazetesi report Chelsea owned player Ethan Ampadu, who’s currently playing for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, could join Trabzonspor on a loan deal until the end of the season.
This week Eddie Newton was installed as the No.2 to newly appointed Trazbonspor manager Huseyin Cimsir, and Karadeniz Gazetesi say the former Chelsea coach could look to convince Ampadu over a move to the Super Lig.
It’s reported the German side are considering cutting his loan deal short, and it’s likely Ampadu will go out on loan to another club rather than play for Chelsea’s U23s.
Trabzonspor are looking to sign a central defender this month, with the club’s president Ahmet Agaoglu this week confirming their intentions for this transfer window.
Ampadu’s contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of June 2023.
