Currently on loan at Real Betis in La Liga, Charly Musonda Jr. is having to return to Chelsea a bit earlier than expected, but, don’t worry, it won’t be for good.
The young Belgian forward, according to AS, has been sent back to the London club temporarily after being plagued with pains in his left knee, and Betis have decided it be best if he was looked at by the staff at Stamford Bridge, as they fear the injury could be serious.
Described as ‘pains to his medial collateral ligament’ by the Spanish newspaper, the player’s injury is expected to make him miss Betis’ next game on Sunday, and maybe more.
Prior to his injury problems, the 20-year-old had played in the club’s opening seven games, also picking up an assist in a 1-0 win against Malaga.
Betis have had a relatively strong start to the season despite two big losses against Barcelona and Real Madrid, and are currently sitting a comfortable 12th in La Liga with 11 points from their first nine games.
