Sergio Aguero is a fully fledged Manchester City legend, regardless of what happens with his career from here on in. The Argentine has never kicked and screamed to leave the club and has been rewarded well for his contribution to City’s growth.
But his status has taken a few knocks more recently and that inevitably leads to transfer rumours. One carried on Marca’s Saturday back page has the potential to grow into a bigger story.
Marca reveal that Aguero took a €70m offer from Inter Milan to Manchester City in the summer, but the Premier League club made it clear they were totally against a sale.
The relationship between Aguero and Pep Guardiola is said to be cold, and whilst the striker is a much used member of the squad at Manchester City, Marca believe it’s key that he’s not an undisputed starter any longer.
Aguero ‘isn’t comfortable’ with the situation, but Guardiola is said to be determined not to sell him ‘under any circumstances’.
And here’s the biggie… Marca say Real Madrid are watching the situation.
