Turin newspaper Tuttosport are concerned with the form of Alex Sandro, and suggest it may be at least partly down to Chelsea.
The Brazilian fullback and his teammate Mario Mandzukic have both been told to get their act together by the newspaper, and start performing to the level they’ve shown previously.
Tuttosport state Chelsea made a €70m offer for Sandro and that, along with reported interest from other clubs, looks to be weighing heavily on the player. The expectation such offers and transfer claims bring sometimes brings out the best in footballers, and sometimes leaves them a little lost.
The latter scenario is suggested for Sandro and an offer like the €70m it’s claimed Chelsea made is described as something which could become a distant memory.
Tuttosport highlighting this is interesting because there’s no other newspaper or media outlet who more talked up interest in Alex Sandro.
The Turin publication took great joy in repeatedly reporting interest from Premier League clubs, at least some of which seemed exaggerated.
Should Chelsea’s offer have distracted Sandro then Tuttosport’s huge reporting of interest likely did a similar job. Juventus aren’t so determined to hold on to the South American any longer and as long as there’s a good offer in the summer it’s likely they’ll take it.
