After their frustrated efforts to sign Shandong Luneng’s Carlos Gil, Besiktas now want to sign Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi.
The Dutchman enjoyed a good World Cup 2014 with Holland which earned him a move to Porto, but things didn’t go according to plan for him in Portugal.
There have been claims in England linking Martins Indi to Liverpool. Fanatik and Sporx have found out Liverpool have made a €5M offer for him, but Porto are holding out for at least €7M.
Besiktas are now closely monitoring the situation and they too could look to make an official bid soon.
Martins Indi was left out of Porto’s Champions League squad to face AS Roma, and is off the competition’s longer term list, and the Holland international isn’t expected to stay much longer.
He can play as a central defender and also left back, providing some versatility.
