Seville newspaper Estadio Deportivo have picked up claims AS Roma are interested in Southampton’s Dusan Tadic, and will face competition from Milan and Juve.
With Southampton dancing with relegation, several of their players are being targeted by waiting vultures around Europe.
Tadic is one of the prime candidates to leave should the Saints drop to the Championship, with it being unlikely he’d take kindly to playing in the second tier.
So what has any of this got to do with a Seville newspaper?
Estadio Deportivo point out Roma interest makes sense because Monchi is now the club’s transfer guru and used to do the same at Sevilla, and the newspaper know their local club were interested then.
Tadic’s price is put at ‘about €45m’ and we’d struggle to see Monchi agreeing to that given Roma didn’t want to go over €40m for Riyad Mahrez. In fact, it would be hard to imagine any club paying €45m for Tadic given he turns 30 years of age this year and hasn’t exactly had a blistering season.
