Spanish newspaper Marca on Tuesday report that more transfer money could be going the way of Villarreal. Like most Spanish clubs outside of the very top, Villarreal need to bring in a decent amount of money in order to skirt around any financial issues, and Manchester United helped them do that during the summer.

Signing Eric Bailly for €40m, Manchester United presented Villarreal with a very welcome profit, and money from other sales could ultimately see the total money brought in go over €50m.

Bought in January 2015 to replace Arsenal’s Gabriel Paulista, Bailly only cost Villarreal around €5m, so the profit they made is pretty impressive.

The Ivory Coast international has impressed since moving to the Premier League, and Manchester United will miss him when he takes part in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, which starts in January.
