Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport have a feature in their Monday edition on ‘La Nouca Idea’ of Inter Milan.
The Serie A club seem to have a new transfer idea every five minutes, and the latest man is Federico Bernardeschi, who is seen as an alternative to Domencio Berardi. A further two alternatives to both of those are Mark Pjaca and Erik Lamela.
The Tottenham Hotspur star would cost €30m, according to Corriere dello Sport. Such a scenario may well make sense for Inter Milan, but it certainly wouldn’t for Tottenham.
A fee of €30m would work out to be around £25m at today’s exchange rates, which is the base price Tottenham paid AS Roma in the first place.
Lamela showed his best for for Tottenham last season, so it would make very little sense for the club to sell the 24 year old after putting so much work and time into making him shine in English football.
Inter may be thinking about it, but they may as well be dreaming about it because snatching Lamela from Tottenham for €30m seems a very unlikely prospect.
