Italy’s TMW claim an exclusive on Tuesday afternoon that both Arsenal and AS Monaco have made offers for Cengiz Under.

The Gunners are said to have proposed €30m to the Serie A club, and the French club went a little higher with €35m.

Neither are enough, with both bids being rejected by Roma, according to the claims. With no big pressure to sell players right now, unlike at previous times, Roma will only let Under go if a club is prepared to go near their €50m valuation.

TMW don’t seem to think this is likely.

Under had a tricky start at Roma but has improved over the season and general interest in him would be no surprise, with Arsenal linked previously.

On the face of it these claims getting out there would suit Roma and the player’s agent Fali Ramadani. It heightens the hype and therefore perceived value of Under for a future move.

Left footed, the 20 year old has this year played on the right of a front three, on the right of midfield, and can also play as an attacking central midfielder or on the left. He’s scored eight goals and has two assists.
