According to claims in the Italian media West Ham United are showing an interest in Sampdoria forward Luis Muriel, and could make an offer for the player.
The Colombian international impressed for the Serie A side last season, and could leave the club this summer, with Sevilla also showing an interest.
TMW have reported West Ham could move in on Muriel after his proposed move to Sevilla stalled in recent days. It was expected the Spanish side would have completed the deal for Muriel by now, and West Ham could now step in with a €26m bid. Previously it’s been claimed in the British media the Hammers could put in an offer of £22m for the forward.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic encountered issues last season in attack with Simone Zaza failing to make an impact, and Andy Carroll experiencing injuries.
Muriel joined Sampdoria in 2015 from Udinese for €12m, and he’s contracted to the Italian club until June 2019. The 26-year-old has played for Colombia 15 times since making his debut in 2012.
