AC Milan may turn to Tottenham forward Steven Bergwijn in the summer transfer window if Brahim Diaz continues ‘not to fully convince’.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say that Spurs have valued the Dutchman at around €25m ahead of a possible departure.
The website explains that if things go as expected this summer and Diaz continues to struggle to convince, manager Stefano Pioli could be ‘seriously tempted’ to switch formation to a 4-3-3.
That would mean finding a way for the contribution from the ‘external lanes’ to be maximised, and that would mean adding players to the flanks.
That is why there has been a flurry of transfer rumours linking Milan to such players, including Bergwijn, with rumours linking him emerging out of nowhere last month.
CM explain that Milan are keen on Club Brugge star Noah Lang, who the Belgian side value at €25m, while Tottenham’s Bergwijn is also on the list and is valued at ‘the same price’.
At the moment, Milan have no plans to ‘accelerate’ their interest and are seemingly just making observations ahead of moves in the summer.
Bergwijn is on their list of players being looked at, and if Tottenham are willing to do a deal, this could be one that picks up the closer we get to the summer transfer window.
