Sabah’s Galatasaray journalist Mehmet Ozcan has spoken to Turkish website Sporx TV about the future of West Ham United target Garry Rodrigues.

The attacker has been linked with the Hammers in recent weeks after claims the Premier League side have tabled a bid for the player.

Ozcan has confirmed English interest for the Cape Verde international, but he also revealed interest from the Bundesliga: “During the winter break, Schalke wanted to sign him but it was rejected as the club is pushing for the title. I think that stance could change at the end of the season. I am expecting bids from English clubs for around €20m.”

Last month we covered reports from the Turkish press that West Ham have made a €12m offer for the player, but Galatasaray are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €18m.

The Hammers will be looking to bolster their attacking options in the summer, and it seems Rodrigues is on their shortlist.

Fellow Premier League sides Everton and Newcastle United have also been linked, but it seems like the three English sides will face competition from Germany.

Rodrigues has impressed this season for the Turkish side, but there have been recent reports his agent is pushing for a summer move.
