Jurgen Klopp has again turned from Simon Mignolet to Loris Karius.
Liverpool’s two most senior goalkeepers haven’t really had a lot between them since Karius joined the club, with it widely considered neither are of the highest level.
However, Klopp clearly has a preference for Karius and if the two men were level on everything, it’s likely to be the German who gets the nod.
Mignolet isn’t blind to this and a transfer is possible, something talked up in Belgium today.
Het Belang van Limburg say there’s interest from Napoli in Mignolet, but a transfer would be much likelier in the summer.
A January switch is said to be ‘difficult, but not impossible’, and one factor against is the Liverpool manager promising third choice Danny Ward he can go on loan.
Whether Ward would still be so keen on an exit if second choice isn’t known.
The Belgian newspaper believe Liverpool will want €15-20m for Simon Mignolet.
