Portuguese newspaper O Jogo has today a very short story saying Braga have rejected a bid of €11m for midfielder Francisco Trincão.
Without revealing who made the offer, the outlet says the player is only being sold if someone meets his €30m release clause.
Regarding the club who attempted to sign the 20-year-old, there’s a actually a clue it could be Newcastle United.
At the end of their story, O Jogo claims the Magpies watched Trincão in Braga’s 7-1 win over Belenenses on Saturday.
They’re presented as an interested party.
Trincão is only 20 years old, but has been standing out for Braga for a while, and that’s why he’s been linked to several Premier League sides already. He’s certainly not short of clubs who could be interested in his signing.
But in case it’s Newcastle who have made the offer, it seems they’ll have to raise the bid a lot, since they’re still pretty far from what Braga want to let Trincão go.
