Napoli have identified Leeds United’s Ezgjan Alioski as one of their targets for the upcoming transfer window.

That’s what Tuttosport are reporting today and they add the Serie A side have started their transfer plans for the summer, even though there’s a lot of uncertainty around Gennaro Gattuso’s continuity at the club beyond this season.

One of the areas the Naples club are looking to strengthen is their defence. Faouzi Ghoulam has a contract until 2022, but the Algeria international is expected to leave Napoli.

It’s claimed the Naples club have identified the Leeds player as a possible candidate to replace Ghoulam.

The North Macedonia international is the first choice left-back for the Premier League side and his performances have seen him become an ‘immovable’ player under Marcelo Bielsa, Tuttosport explain to an Italian audience.

Tuttosport are of the belief ‘€10m could be enough’ to take the fullback away from Elland Road.

It’s to be noted Alioski’s contract with Leeds will expire on June 30th, meaning he will be available on a free transfer in the summer, if he decides not to sign a new deal with the English club.

Therefore, the €10m would clearly be much more than enough.
