On June 13th, the agent of Anthony Martial revealed the forward wants to leave Manchester United after the two parties failed to reach an agreement over a new deal.
The France international joined the Red Devils from AS Monaco in the summer of 2015. He has one year left on his contract, with a further year option, at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move away from the club.
Martial had been in good form for Manchester United, but the arrival of Alexis Sanchez saw his playing time restricted. Jose Mourinho has preferred the Chilean international ahead of the 22-year-old in his starting lineup.
Juventus are one of the clubs interested in signing Martial in the summer transfer window. The Old Lady are also keen on signing the Frenchman’s teammate Matteo Darmian, while United are said to be looking at Alex Sandro.
According to ilBiancoNero, the Turin club and the 20-time English champions will meet to talk about the transfer market and the players they are interested in signing this summer. One of them in Martial.
Manchester United are said to be unhappy with Martial and his agent’s attitude. The report claims Mourinho’s side are insisting it’ll cost €100m to sanction the attacker’s sale.
Similar claims have been carried by Turin newspaper Tuttosport, but it must be said Martial to Juventus isn’t a big story in Italy at the moment. The Serie A champions are being linked more strongly to other players at the moment.
