Dusan Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina in the winter transfer window, after being repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal.
There were claims in Italy that Vlahovic’s agents had refused to even speak to the Gunners, given they were set on a move to the Turin club. La Viola would have rather sold to a club outside of Italy, but in the end the striker, his camp, and Juventus got their way.
Now it’s time for Chelsea to be linked, with claims of a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Things haven’t been going too poorly for the player so far this season, but there’s still a lot of negativity around him. The 22-year-old has six goals and one assist in 11 appearances, which isn’t a terrible return.
However, some matches haven’t been up to scratch, and his performance during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to AC Milan is described as ‘literally a disaster’ for Vlahovic.
Calciomercato go with a headline saying: ‘Disaster and goodbye Juventus: €100m to change the future’
They say the player ‘can leave’ in the next summer window, and still has fans around Europe.
PSG and Bayern Munich are pushed forward as potential destinations, along with Chelsea, and Juventus would need more than €100m. They would then invest that money in improving their squad.
Such a stance seems very optimistic on behalf of the Turin side. If Vlahovic is struggling as much as suggested then asking €100m+ seems on the high side, and Chelsea would almost certainly feel that way.
