With Vasilios Barkas, Joe Hart, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard all at the club, you would think that the goalkeeping position is one Ange Postecoglou would be happy with at Celtic.
However, if Homme du Match are to be believed, that isn’t the case, as the website claim the Parkhead residents are considering a move for yet another shot stopper in January.
His name is Marco Bizot, a Dutchman who currently plays for Stade Brestois in France after his £4.5m transfer from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.
Homme du Match explain the 30-year-old has been ‘in difficulty’ since the start of the season, having failed to ‘completely adapt’ to his new surroundings.
He’s ended up ‘in the sights’ of Celtic, who ‘would like to acquire his services from this winter onwards’.
Their idea would be for a loan, something which Stade Brestois aren’t happy with ‘unless a mandatory option to buy is included in the deal for next summer’.
This all seems a bit strange considering the number of players in the role already at Celtic, but we’ll be keeping an eye on it going forward.
