Vitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room has told the Dutch media he isn’t being distracted by rumours of Everton interest.
The 28 year old has been linked with a move to the Premier League side in the past week, following claims he could be lined up to replace Joel Robles.
Speaking to De Gelderlander, Room was asked about recent speculation Everton boss Ronald Koeman wants to sign him: “As long as there is nothing concrete, I don’t even think about it. I can imagine how it would be to go to another club, but it does not matter if nothing has happened.”
Last week we covered reports from the Netherlands that Everton are looking to sign Room as their third choice, with Robles looking for a return to Spain.
Everton have already signed Jordan Pickford, and with Maarten Stekelenburg as back up to the England U21 international, Room would be brought in as Koeman’s third choice goalkeeper.
It’s been suggested in the Dutch press Everton would have to offer up to €1.7m to sign the Vitesse player.
Room is contracted to the Dutch side until June 2018.
