All isn’t well at Chelsea right now, with Thomas Tuchel making that clear after the club’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.
The manager is frustrated with the transfer situation of several players, and that includes Cesar Azpilicueta. Barcelona have been trying to sign the 32-year-old all summer, with the player feeling Chelsea’s previous owners assured him he’d be able to return to Spain should he so desire.
Tuchel has made it clear that’s what the player wants, but the manager also insisted how important Azpilicueta is for the Blues, and why they want to keep him.
Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports Barcelona’s dressing room has received ‘pessimistic updates’ about the potential transfer, insinuating the player has told friends at the Camp Nou that he’s no longer confident the move will happen.
Chelsea are said to be frustrated with Barca’s conduct, and also annoyed the club have been working to snatch Jules Kounde from their clutches.
Therefore, Azpilicueta’s move is in ‘danger’, and optimism around the transfer is slipping away.
