It hasn’t even been a month since Erling Haaland’s debut for Manchester City, and he’s already being linked with a move away from the club.
Believe it or not, this became a real story in the Spanish media today, where El Chiringuito’s Josep Pedrerol comes up with one of his dramatic disclosures.
The journalist claims the Manchester City player ‘could have a clause in his contract’ which allows him to leave the club in two years.
There are no details on how that move would work, as the player is committed to Pep Guardiola’s side until 2027, although it sounds like some kind of affordable release clause.
Pedrerol only adds that Barcelona and Real Madrid both ‘trust’ that they could sign Haaland, who the Catalan side just faced in a friendly at the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.
The striker only made four official appearances for Manchester City so far, with three goals and one assist.
Pedrerol is quite used to bringing sensationalist news to his show, but in case it’s true, this clause would certainly be a big deal for the player’s future.
