On Monday, Tuttosport stated West Bromwich Albion have offered a ‘super contract’ worth over €2m net per year to Torino manager Ivan Jurić.
It was also reported American tycoon Shilen Patel is interested in buying the Baggies and intends on ‘making a clean sweep’ at the Hawthorns if he does take over.
Tuttosport’s claim about the offer is relayed by Torino Granata, who then share their own updates on the possibility of the 48-year-old joining the Baggies.
Carlos Corberán has been in charge at West Brom since 2022 and his deal there lasts until 2027.
On the other hand, the Croatian’s contract expires in the summer and has indicated he could leave the Italian club if they fail to qualify for Europe next season.
The Championship side are currently fifth in the table and in contention to get promoted to the top flight. The possibility of Jurić joining West Brom would depend on whether they’ll return to the Premier League or continue in the second division next season.
In short, there are doubts as to whether Jurić will want to replace Corberán at The Hawthorns if they were to fail in their bid to return to the top tier.
Torino Granata state Jurić is ‘ambitious’ and, should he leave the Serie A side, he would favour a move to an ambitious club that will back him in the market to help him achieve his goals.
