There will come a time when the European media will eventually run out of clubs to link with Moussa Sissoko, but today is not that day and L’Equipe add another one to the pile.
According to the French newspaper’s information through an article on their website, the latest club to join the queue for the 27-year-old midfielder happens to be Bundesliga’s runners-up, Borussia Dortmund.
Relegated with Newcastle after a mediocre season in the Premier League, the former Toulouse star managed to put his name out there with some great performances in the latter stages of the Euros with France.
Picked by Didier Deschamps for his incredible energy and desire to surge forward, Sissoko has even been linked with the likes of Juventus and Arsenal, but Newcastle’s demands are a problem.
The Championship club, thrilled by his displays with his country, have slapped a £35m price tag on their man, a fee even the player’s agent finds rather preposterous.
We fully expect more and more clubs to be linked with Sissoko in coming days (and maybe even weeks).
Dortmund certainly won’t be the last.
