One of the big transfer sagas of the summer appears to have come to an end, but not the one Manchester United fans were hoping for.
Clearly keen on Jadon Sancho, the Red Devils appeared to be playing a waiting game with Borussia Dortmund over when they were going to make a bid.
With the now famous August 10th deadline now passed and the player at their preseason camp, Michael Zorc has made a big statement on Monday, making it clear the England international would be staying at the club for the coming season.
Furthermore, Kicker have put all the information from Michael Zorc’s statement together, who also revealed Dortmund ‘secretly extended’ the player’s contract a year ago until 2023, with a salary raise to go with it.

However, ‘another wage increase is now out of the question’.
Kicker further add that the idea ‘Sancho could now exert pressure from his side on order to force a change at a later point in time is ruled out by both the club and his advisor’.
Dortmund know ‘they can still generate a big transfer’ for the forward next year, especially now that it’s public his contract won’t be one year from its end, but two, which gives them even more leverage in what will likely be another record sale for the club.
