While the vast majority of Juventus’ players and fans welcomed Dusan Vlahovic with open arms, one who probably didn’t was Moise Kean.
The Italian forward, already used sparingly by Max Allegri following his two-year loan with obligation to buy from Everton, has yet to start a game in Serie A since the Serbian’s arrival, with his situation unlikely to improve going forward.
This led to the idea of him leaving towards the end of the January transfer window, only for that to be discarded almost immediately when everyone realised he had already played for both the Toffees and Juventus this season.
Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly interested, as Leonardo is a big fan of the 21-year-old, which we’ve already covered in the past, but any transfer will have to wait until the summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who look at Kean’s future going forward and reiterate he ‘would not have been unwelcome at Paris Saint-Germain’ in January before adding that ‘things have gotten more complicated’ since the arrival of Vlahovic.
The big question is where does he go from here, and the belief is ‘there could be a loan in the summer’, even if his next destination is still ‘to be identified’.
The likeliest is a return to France, because if ‘Mbappé really goes to Real Madrid, the doors remain open in Paris’ for him, where he excelled during his temporary spell there last season.
Either way, Everton are going to get their money, since the loan includes an obligation to buy, but this could see the Toffees receive the fee sooner than expected, as Juventus would need to make the move permanent before loaning Kean out elsewhere again.
All in all, a situation to keep an eye on.
