On Tuesday, WP SportoweFakty reported Leeds United’s Mateusz Bogusz had received an interesting offer from LAFC.

It was also stated the Whites had given the green light to sell the attacking midfielder in January.

Last summer, Leeds let the 21-year-old return to UD Ibiza on a season-long loan deal, and LAFC were waiting for the Premier League side and the Spanish club to find an agreement to terminate his loan deal.

However, the January window closed on Tuesday and Bogusz has failed to get a move away from the LaLiga 2 side because Ibiza refused to cooperate and this has been reported in Poland and Spain.

WP SportoweFakty journalist Piotr Koźmiński took to Twitter to explain Ibiza ‘blocked the transfer’ of Bogusz to America.

Periódico de Ibiza y Formentera state the player wanted a move after LAFC’s offer was accepted by Leeds.

The Spanish club negotiated with Jesse Marsch’s side, but weren’t able to reach an agreement.

That’s because Ibiza understood the Pole will be vital for them in the second half of this season and there was no guarantee of finding a substitute for him on deadline day.

Therefore, the ‘door was closed on Bogusz’ and he will finish the season in Spain.
