Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Braut Håland has scored in every Champions League group stage fixture this season, taking his overall tally to 20 goals and five assists in 13 appearances.
Subsequently, the Norway international has been constantly linked with top clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.
On October 11th, AS talked about the Red Devils when discussing about the striker being on Los Blancos’ radar. They explained Håland will be a main target for United next summer, provided Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retains his position at the club.
Solskjaer managed Erling when the duo were at Molde and after United’s latest Europa League win, Norway’s VG asked the United manager if he’s tempted to reunite with his compatriot at the Premier League club.
“I don’t think this is the right time for me to talk about strikers of other teams. I talked about Harry Kane yesterday (Wednesday) and I don’t think it’s right for me to talk about Erling today,” Solskjaer said.
VG further mentions the United boss finished his answer ‘with a small wink’.
Erling’s father, Alf-Inge Håland represented Leeds United and Manchester City during his playing career and has made clear his past association with United’s arch rivals shouldn’t be an issue if the Old Trafford club make a swoop.
