If there is one person that Leicester City will want to keep hold of if they can, it’s Youri Tielemans.

The midfielder is currently with Belgium at the World Cup, where he is preparing for his country’s first game, which will be against Canada on Wednesday evening.

The Leicester star was the one to face the press ahead of the clash, and while there was a lot of talk about FIFA’s decision to ban the OneLove armband, the media were also keen to find out a bit more about his club future.

The 25-year-old’s contract with the Foxes is due to expire at the end of the current season, and there has been a lot of talk about him leaving for another Premier League club or abroad.

While it’s certainly a pressing matter for Leicester, it doesn’t appear to be one for the midfielder, who expressed as much, relayed by Le Soir.

He said: “My future at the club doesn’t change anything. I don’t think about that right now. I just try to be the best footballer possible here and help the national team as much as possible.”

Therefore, it’s clear the Leicester star is trying to put everything at the King Power Stadium to one side for the time being so he can fully focus on the task at hand, which will be to help Belgium first get out of their group.
