Napoli have been urged to sign Chelsea full-back Emerson Palmieri this summer as part of a summer rebuild.
Emerson is currently out of favour at Stamford Bridge, having fallen behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso in the pecking order.
He’s managed just two Premier League appearances this season and has managed just 11 minutes in the last few months, featuring in the FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City last month.
It’s highly likely that he will be moved on in the summer, and he has regularly been linked with a return to Italy over the last few months.
Indeed, talk of a move to Serie A is old hat for Emerson, who has been linked with numerous clubs in the league pretty much since he rocked up at Chelsea.
Napoli are among those to have been the most regularly linked, and scout Gianni di Marzio believes it’s a move they should be making.
“A low left-winger,” he told TMW Radio, relayed by Area Napoli.
“I would like to see Emerson Palmieri there, who is a modern player, and I don’t know why he doesn’t play at Chelsea.”
