Bruno Fernandes’ contract renewal with Manchester United is now ‘imminent’, according to reports from the Portuguese media today.
Newspaper A Bola writes there’s now a ‘done deal’ between club and player, with the midfielder committing himself to the Red Devils until 2027.
It’s claimed the negotiations between Manchester United and agent Miguel Pinho had been going for a while, and with an agreement, the Old Trafford side protect themselves from the ‘movements’ that some interested clubs had been making.
Besides the extension, Bruno Fernandes is also getting a ‘substantial improvement’ in his salary, with A Bola highlighting the raise he had at the Red Devils since arriving at the club in 2020.
Bruno Fernandes, who’s been out in international duty for Portugal in the past couple of weeks, has just scored the two goals in the 2-0 win over North Macedonia which guaranteed his country’s place in the 2022 World Cup.
Now back at Manchester United, it’s said his new contract is just ‘hours’ from being signed.
