Unable to fully express himself under Simeone Inzaghi on loan from Manchester United at Lazio last season, Andreas Pereira could get a second shot at establishing himself in Rome next season.
The change of manager has worked in his favour, with Maurizio Sarri coming in, but it’s Igli Tare, the club’s director of football, who appears to be holding the cards of the Brazilian’s future in his hands.
Well, him and Kia Joorabchian, as Corriere dello Sport explain on Thursday.
It’s stated that Tare ‘believes’ in the Manchester United midfielder, who was ‘penalised’ by the way Inzaghi set up his team last season, and there will be hope that Sarri’s 4-3-3 helps the player shine more.
However, there are no guarantees that a new loan deal can be sorted out, so Lazio are ‘waiting to understand if the good relationship with Kia Joorabchian will favour the renewal’ of the Brazilian’s temporary spell in Italy or not.
If they can’t get that over the line, they might have to look elsewhere, meaning Manchester United will also have to find Pereira a new club in the process, since he doesn’t appear to fall into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans at Old Trafford.
