Since Frank Lampard’s return to Stamford Bridge as manager, Chelsea have used youth to their advantage.

That came as a direct result of their transfer ban, but it’s worked in their favour, with the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori all shining throughout the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.

This has led a number of clubs to look at what’s on display in their very populated youth teams, and that includes Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Soccer Link in France, the Ligue 1 champions have been watching a number of Youth League games, and among the players they are keeping an eye on is Chelsea’s Tariq Lamptey.

He’s been allegedly described by ‘many scouts’ as the best right-back in the tournament, and his versatility (he can play further up the field) is appreciated among other traits.

Lamptey’s contract with Chelsea runs out in June of 2020, and Leonardo ‘intends to jump at the opportunity presented’ as the Premier League are ‘struggling to convince the young player to sign his first professional contract’.
