Leicester City loanee Ayoze Perez had today a chat with the Spanish media about his season at Real Betis.

Speaking to Onda Cero Sevilla (via Estadio Deportivo), the player talked about becoming a ‘key piece’ at the La Liga side, where his loan expires at the end of the season.

But Perez doesn’t seem to be concerned about his future. Quizzed if he could sign on a permanent transfer at the end of his contract with Leicester City, he says he’ll just wait for that.

“A difficult stage is coming up and we have to be at the top. The time will come to sit down. It doesn’t worry me or cause me anxiety. It would be a mistake to think about it now,”
Ayoze Perez told Onda Cero.

Since his arrival at Betis in January, Perez has nine appearances with one assist and one goal, which was scored in the first leg of the Europa League’s round-of-16 against Manchester United.

It’s already been reported by the Spanish media that the La Liga side would like to keep him for the next season, and since his deal with Leicester City expires next summer, he’ll be free to stay at the Spanish club if he wants.

Perez is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €60m, so that’s a few millions the Foxes will not make due to his free exit.
