The Spanish media were quite surprised to see Andreas Pereira’s quotes speaking to the Chinese press this week.

The player has revealed Valencia are trying to sign him permanently from Manchester United at the end of the season, and that wasn’t expected by the club’s local media.

Websites have described them as ‘strong quotes’, especially because what they’ve been publishing about Pereira’s future is exactly the opposite.

On Thursday morning, for example, Deporte Valenciano came out with a story saying the Manchester United owned player is on the Spanish club’s ‘black list’ for the next transfer market.

The outlet claimed Valencia would not be making any effort for him to stay at the club once his spell ends. No matter if extending his loan or signing him permanently, the club are simply not interested, as far as Deporte Valenciano are concerned.

Now we wait and see if Andreas was speaking the truth, and if the Valencia outlets were badly informed about the club’s plans for the summer window.

Earlier in April it was reported by AS that agent Kia Joorabchian has been informed by Valencia they want to sign Pereira permanently from Manchester United, but the Valencia media didn’t make much of that either.
