Over the past few weeks, Liverpool have been linked to former Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel.

Recently, Italian website Corriere della Sera reported Liverpool had made an offer for Inter’s Medel, but fresh reports in Italy suggest the Reds haven’t made any offer yet.

Italian website FC InterNews say there is no confirmation of a bid from Liverpool for Gary Medel. In fact, Inter are in no mood to sell Medel, and will reject any offers for the Chilean star.

We mentioned in our report before that we really doubt Liverpool hold any interest in signing Medel this summer, after signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle.

Marko Grujic has also arrived after a loan spell at Red Star Belgrade, with the transfer agreed earlier, and with no European football it’s a bit unlikely Liverpool will want to sign more midfielders.

Medel didn’t have the best of times with Cardiff, but he’s shown himself to be a very good player, especially for Chile’s national team.
